Two weeks ago while drinking a coffe with Ash and Adel and Imed, I was totally sold about a superb pink floyd concert that will take place July second, where for the first time all the whole pinky boys wil be there, and that was awesome to hear about their floyd coming out since 1976.
Just focusing about the matter, I’ve been totally sold, to find that there is no pink floyd concert for them selves, but that they are making part of the Live 8 issude from the G8 (USA, France , GB, Japan, Germany, …) in order to heal poverty in Africa.
Live 8 is a series of concerts and events across the world which are being staged to highlight the problem of global poverty. It’s a chance for ordinary people to call on world leaders at this year’s G8 summit and tell them to put a stop to the needless deaths of 30,000 children every single day.
In the menu we have : Pink floyd, the Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, U2, the Who and many more.
Concerts have already taken place in :
The pink floyd performance were really great and we’ve been talking of a gathering of Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright had performed on stage for the first time in 20 years at Hyde Park in London.
The only question I put on the table is why a such event about africa takes place outside Africaian territory, Why they don’t make concerts inside Africa ? Yes I no that they are gathering tickets gains for the poverty, but Africa doesn’t need charity parties to go on, Africa needs also some dignity and cultural blood flow, the concerts should be more effective if there were played inside the brown continenet better than moscow or NewYork, anyway … if there’s someone caring for Africa, that really cool, Mama africa Appreciate !
